Coliseum Building Rental Information

The Coliseum Building at the Canadian Lakehead Exhibition is a versatile venue suitable for a wide range of events, from trade shows and craft markets to shags and concerts. Below is the rental information categorized by event type.


Show, Sale, or Craft-Type Events (No Alcohol)

Capacity:

  • 1,000 guests (1,080 for craft shows)

Rental Requirements:

  • $500.00 deposit and signed contract required to hold a date

  • Balance due 2 weeks prior to event

  • $800.00 damage deposit (based on a 1-day event)

  • Certificate of Insurance naming CLE as co-insured with minimum $5 million liability coverage

  • Keys must be picked up the day before the event

Refund Policy:

  • Rental deposits are non-refundable unless the building is re-rented

  • If re-rented, a 20% administration fee will apply to the refunded deposit

2025 Rental Rates (No Alcohol):

  • 1st Day: $1,361.45 + HST

  • 2nd Day: $1,124.70 + HST

  • 3rd Day: $947.10 + HST

  • Additional Days: $947.10 + HST

2026 Rental Rates (No Alcohol):

  • 1st Day: $1,395.49 + HST

  • 2nd Day: $1,152.82 + HST

  • 3rd Day: $970.78 + HST

2027 Rental Rates (No Alcohol):

  • 1st Day: $1,430.38 + HST

Shags, Concerts, Dances (With Alcohol)

Capacity:

  • 900 guests (includes setup with tables and chairs)

Included with Rental:

  • Tables & chairs, DJ stage, juice jugs, utility cart

  • 3 cash trays, liquor dispensers, coffee unit

  • Ice tongs, serving trays, 2 beer tubs

Additional Fees & Supplies:

  • Corkage fee: $2.25 per person (pop only)

  • Ice available at $5.00/bag

  • Wristbands for corkage events: $60.00 + HST per 500 bands (must be worn by all guests)

  • You must supply:

    • Paper/plastic cups

    • Licensed security

Rental Requirements:

  • $500.00 deposit and signed contract required to hold a date

  • Liquor license and insurance certificate (CLE as co-insured with $5 million coverage) due 2 weeks prior

Heritage Building Rental Information

The Heritage Building at the Canadian Lakehead Exhibition is a flexible and affordable venue ideal for shows, sales, community events, shags, and private functions. Rental details are categorized below based on whether alcohol is served at the event.


Heritage Building (No Alcohol – Show/Sale Events)

Capacity:

  • Large Side: Up to 300 guests

  • Small Side: Up to 190 guests

  • Full Building: Up to 450 guests

Rental Requirements:

  • $500.00 deposit and signed contract required to hold a date

  • $600.00 refundable security deposit (no alcohol)

  • Certificate of Insurance naming CLE as co-insured with a minimum $5 million liability coverage

  • Balance and insurance due 2 weeks prior to event

  • Keys must be picked up the day before the event

2025 Rental Rates (No Alcohol):

Full Building:

  • 1st Day: $947.10 + HST

  • 2nd Day: $828.70 + HST

  • 3rd Day: $710.30 + HST

  • Additional Days: $710.30 + HST

Large Side Only (2025): $769.50 + HST

Cardinal room

Cardinal Room Rental Information

The Cardinal Room at the Canadian Lakehead Exhibition is perfect for smaller, intimate gatherings such as bridal and baby showers, anniversaries, family celebrations, and meetings. It offers an affordable and comfortable space with optional amenities.


Room Details:

  • Capacity: Up to 60 guests

  • Round tables available

  • Optional kitchen access: Additional $100.00 + HST

  • Damage deposit: $200.00


Requirements for Booking:

  • Events with alcohol must provide a valid Liquor License

  • Licensed security may be required if serving alcohol

  • A Certificate of Insurance is required, naming the Canadian Lakehead Exhibition as co-insured with a minimum $5 million liability coverage

  • Keys must be picked up the day before the event
